The 'Sunshine on Leith Pipes & Samba Band'  Playing at their debut parade on Princes Street Edinburgh, October 2007! There's The Sunshine on Leith Pipers!  All been playing the pipes less than a year! Here's the Beginner Chanter Group and our Samba Drummers  That's Hank on the left - our Snare Drumming Instructor!! Can you believe our wee piper here has only been playing the pipes for ......  2 WEEKS - Brilliant!!!! Everyone's listening to Hazel and Hank!!  Our fab and fun Samba & Snare Drum Instructors!! Just checking the chanters  Before the parade! 'The Sunshine on Leith Pipes and Samba Band  Playing along with the 'Scots Music Group Pipes and Drums' Having a wee practice! They are all great pals!  As Andrew fixes his pipes! Dusshera Hindu Festival 2007  Organised by the Scottish Indian Arts Forum Some more of our young pipers in green!  who have just been on the pipes a few months!! 'Sunshine on Leith Pipes and Samba Band'  and the 'Scots Music Group Pipes and Drums' Very impressive Float!  Everyone enjoyed being part of this wonderful parade! Effigies of the evil King Ravana  and his two Henchman overlooking the city!! The rocket has gone off!!!  All evil is now up in smoke on Calton Hill after the parade!! All the children enjoyed watching the fireworks!  above the Edinburgh sky! Well done to all! All the Children practicing their chanter in class!!  They are all good friends too! We now have 6 pupils on the Pipes!  and 14 chanter players who will be progressing onto pipes very soon!! |
